Tuesday Trivia with Matt - Episode 126

We had a great kickoff to the Fall Season this week! Thank you to everyone who tuned in. Y’all CAME. TO. PLAY. You weren’t messing around, with some very high scores! Eleven teams scored over 100 points, which is just incredible!

We poked a bit of fun at Leo DiCaprio’s dating history in Round 1, then watched an amazing montage of covers by Kelly Clarkson for our music round. My favorite round this week was Round 5, titled “Jameses and the Giant Peaches”, where I covered up the faces of famous Jameses with the peach emoji! 🍑😂

Congratulations to Brochuters +1 and The Re-Trivia-ers for being the top scorers of the night! With our new format, we no longer will need tie-breakers to determine weekly winners… so I love that we had a tie and more players can say they were first place! 🏆

The full scoreboard is below. I will update with cumulative scores as we move further into the season. Also, because it was a Double Down week, I have denoted in pink the round each team chose to double their score. (Double Down weeks are every 2nd show of the month!)

Congratulations to We’re Just Guessing who earned an extra slot on our end-of-season prize wheel. 🎁 I will continue to track each team’s total prize wheel entries in the last column of this scoreboard.

We also started a new weekly award, called “The Alex Award”. Alex is my wonderful husband who works very hard behind the scenes to check all the answers as they are submitted during every single game show I host. Often after the show we will chat about some funny answers that were submitted, so I decided to give him his own weekly award, “The Alex Award”, that he can give to the team who gave the funniest worst answer of the episode. The first winners of The Alex Award are Three Halves of a Whole Idiot! During the Kelly-oke themed music round, they guessed Whitney Houston but didn’t know the name of the song so for the title they entered “Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hit”. It was a nice try… but the funniest part is that the song was “Save the Best For Last” by Vanessa Williams. Not Whitney at all! Ha!

The 13 teams you see below have a jumpstart into the season in the fall season, but it is not too late to join in the fun! Each team’s top seven scores will be used for your overall “season score” to determine the season champions. Join us, Tuesdays on Zoom at bit.ly/ttwmzoom22!
