Tuesday Trivia with Matt - Episode 174
Hi Trivia fans and friends!
I just realized today as I was prepping for episode 176 that I never posted the blog and scoreboard from two weeks ago! EEEK! My apologies for this late (and rather short) blog!
Episode 174 was on Tuesday, October 24, and boy did we have a wonky and weird scoreboard! There seemed to be at least one round that was a challenge for each team which resulted in a lot of single digit round scores, as you’ll see below on the weekly scoreboard.
A few answer discrepancies to report:
There were two teams that emailed me afterwards to defend words that they thought should have been accepted during the “Kangaroo Words” round. If that was you, congrats! I checked out the words you sent me, and they were valid answers, so points were awarded to you.
Also, some of you came to the defense with your answers in the “GO FOOTBALL” round (see what I did there! I did a sports pun!). Those of you who answered Atlanta Falcons for the “L” from the Arizona Cardinals logo were awarded points, because they are almost identical in color and shape. Those of you who answered Indianapolis Colts for the “L” in Buffalo Bills were given 1 point… because it is close, but it is definitely a different shape. During the game I took a poll of if the players thought it should count or not, and the poll was basically split half and half, so we decided to give y’all half points for that answer (1 point instead of 2). You’re welcome! And it goes to show that I should just avoid sports rounds 🤣
When all was said and done, and additional points were awarded, here were our top teams on the podium for this episode:
🥇 Just Neighbors took the W with 104 points!
🥈 Jeremy Bearimy came in a very strong 2nd with three perfect rounds!
🥉 High School Musical The Musical The Series The Team Name took third place. Well done!
🏅 Making Good Answers takes the coveted 4th place spot!

Alex got to make his choice for The Alex Award this week and this week it was some misspellings that made him giggle! I always say to not worry about spelling, and if Alex can read it he will give you the points… well two of you were in luck this week. During the music round we played “Somebody That I Used To Know” by the artist Gotye. Well one team, Jeremy Bearimy, went international with a very French looking spelling of Gaultier (like Jean-Paul Gaultier)… and Making Good Answers had a hilariously wrong spelling of Goaytee. You got the points for a correct answer, AND are also co-winners of this episode’s Alex Award. Bravo!
