The TTWM Fall Trivia League!

The season will last ten weeks, beginning on September 22, running through November 24, 2026. I will track your team’s cumulative scores from week-to-week. At the end of the 10-week season, your top seven scores will be used to determine your “season score”.

This flexibility was added so you don’t need to worry if you can’t make a show or two. If you play more than seven episodes during the season, your lowest scores will be dropped!

Each week I will post the scoreboard on social media and here on this league info page. I’ll also post a blog, recapping all the fun of the episode in more detail.

At the end of the season, the top teams will win prizes! (more on that below)

Just show up to play Tuesday Trivia with Matt on Tuesdays at 8:00pm on Zoom and register your team (as normal) using the Google Form. No additional pre-registration is required.

During the season, we do ask that teams use one consistent team name from week to week to make it easier for scoring.

Participating weekly will feel much like any other episode of TTWM… we just add in some additional score tracking, some fun blogs, and some extra prizes!

To keep things consistent and fair, here are a few adjustments I make while the League is in session:

• The “Double Down” is in effect for every episode of the season. This gives your team the power to choose one round to score double points each episode. As you submit your form at the end of a round, you will have the option to use your Double Down, and it can only be used once per episode.

• Every episode will include five rounds with 20 points each for a total of 100 points (120 possible points when considering the Double Down). I strive to keep this evenly weighted so if you miss an episode or two you aren’t missing out on a night when there are more (or fewer) points.

• We suspend our weekly advantages (called Turbo Triangles) during the season to keep things even.

New for 2026!

I am making one big change for Season Five based on some helpful feedback from teams in previous years: You’ll be competing in one of two divisions based on team size

🌶️ Spice Girls Division: Teams of 5+ players

Prizes will be awarded for the top 4 highest scoring teams in both divisions!‍ ‍

You will need to commit to which division you will participate in when you register for your first episode. If you register for the Golden Girls division, please play with four or fewer players per week. In the Spice Girls division, the more the merrier!

In keeping with the spirit of giving back to the community and good causes, we will award $250 in donation prizes! The top two teams in each division will get to choose a charity or organization they care about and we will make a donation in their name. The top four teams in both divisions will also win our signature “TTWM Medal” holiday ornament!

🥈2nd place: $50 donation and silver medal ornament
🥉3rd place: Bronze medal ornament
🎖️4th place: Purple glittery ornament

If you don’t rank in the top two teams in either division (winning a donation prize), you are still eligible to win some cool prizes, just for participating in the League! At the end of the season, at least four other teams will win custom TTWM swag and other fun prizes!

We will spin a wheel to see who wins these prizes from the remaining teams. You can increase your team’s wedge size on the wheel by doing the following:

• Every week your team participates and completes all five rounds of trivia, you will earn one entry. Even if you only play one show for all ten weeks, you’ll still have a chance to win a prize during the season finale… but the more you play, the more chances you’ll have to win!

• At the end of each individual episode, we will also spin for an “extra entry”. If there are more than 15 teams playing during an episode, we will award TWO teams with entries.

• There will be bonus entry opportunities throughout the season! Stay tuned in to the blog posts, email updates, and social media posts and engage to earn entries.

Please note: To spread the wealth, random wheel spin prizes will only go to teams that do not finish in the top two of either division.

The season finale show will be Tuesday, November 24, 2026 (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving) and at least one person from your team must be present at the finale to claim your prize.

My husband Alex is our hard-working scorekeeper for all TTWM episodes and so I let him have a little additional fun during the Fall Trivia League.

Each week, Alex will choose one team to win “The Alex Award”. It could be for the best wrong answer of the night… or an answer that was oh-so-close… or just something that made him giggle. We leave it up to him!

At the end of the season, he will choose his favorite from all the weekly winners, and one team will get a special gag gift as the season’s recipient of “The Alex Award”.

A recommended tip of $4 per player per episode is greatly appreciated. These tips cover the cost of prizes and support the time, talent, and hard work it takes to create brand-new trivia content every single week (in addition to the extra effort put in to blog and keep cumulative scores throughout the season).
