Episode 321: TTWM Fall Trivia League 🤸♂️
Its a record breaking season, friends! Thanks to team Wolfster106, we now have our 23rd team participating in the Fall Trivia League this season… the most teams we’ve ever had! Thank you to everyone for playing!
Leaderboards
This week there were just a handful of score adjustments to the live announcement, and those are reflected in the weekly scoreboard below. I also recieved positive feedback about the new “rank change” column on the overall leaderboard, so I kept that and updated the season leaderboard. The teams between 5th and 9th place are separated by just five points!
The last column of the leaderboard has each team’s entries for the end-of-season prizes, and we added several entries this week for NINE teams that read my email and added an emoji to the round 2 answer form. Thank you for reading my messages! The prompt also said I would give a bonus entry to the team with the most random emoji. I applaud many of you who picked funny or intentional emojis. There 🍕 and 4️⃣ emojis, which I appreciate you playing to your audience. I also loved that some of you picked emojis based on your team name: 🥩🍟 for Beefsteak and Fries, ➗ for Three Halves of a Whole Idiot… very creative! But because the criteria was “most random”, I decided to pick team Go Us who selected the cartwheel emoji 🤸♂️. Very random and gave me a good smile.
“The Alex Award”
Speaking of things that gave us a good smile, we have this week’s winner of The Alex Award. Alex gets to give a weekly award to his favorite wrong answer of the week. This could be something way off, something super close, or just something that gave him a chuckle while going through the scores.
The episode 321 winner is Hockey Lovers. Their answer came in the final round “Aging and Active” to celebrate Active Aging Week. It was a visual round with a collage of people over 75 who are still active in their fields. The collage included a picture of fashion designer Vera Wang, but the Hockey Lovers guessed “Julie Chen-Moonves”. Because this season of Big Brother just wrapped and we had been watching her for the past three months, the answer was particularly silly to Alex. That, and the fact that Julie is still about 20 years away from being over 75! 🤣 Congrats Hockey Lovers!
Speaking of Alex, I want to give him some love and remind you all what an integral part of the show he is. In the last episode we featured Brave by Sara Bareilles in the music round… and here are the all the different spellings we recieved for Sara:
